2025 is upon us and that means new health and wellness goals. Many of us start the year by detoxing from heavy food and drinks from the holidays and to jumpstart our bodies for the nutrition programs we want to start. For a lot of us, that means cutting out alcohol for at least a month, or what has become known as Dry January.
If you want to try Dry January but are worried about missing out on delicious libations, look no further! Below are three incredibly tasty AND nutritious mocktail recipes to try.
Each recipe includes herbal tinctures that you can grab the next time you’re in the shop and each have wonderful health benefits.
Love Your Liver Milk Thistle Mule
Just like its alcohol-based cousin, the Moscow Mule, the Milk Thistle Mule gives you the tang of ginger beer and lime and adds in liver-supporting and detoxing milk thistle tincture.
Ingredients
2 ounces ginger beer
2 ounces sparkling water
Juice of ½ fresh lime
1 full squeeze of a dropper bulb (or 30 drops) of milk thistle tincture
Lime wedge, optional
Ice
Add ice and lime juice to a glass. Pour in the ginger beer and sparkling water. Add the milk thistle tincture. Stir. Garnish glass with a lime wedge, if desired. Enjoy!
Why we love it.
First, this drink really is delicious. The milk thistle tincture has a very light taste so it blends in almost entirely with the other ingredients, making it the perfect drink for picky eaters. But more than that, milk thistle is a WONDER PLANT. Used for centuries, the plant is predominantly used to help protect and support the liver. So, if your goal is to help your body recover from those fun holiday parties, the milk thistle mule is a great way to do that.
Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Lemon Fizz
Still bloated from all of those leftovers? Want to shed some water weight to reduce your joint pain? Turmeric to the rescue! Make this drink to enjoy a tangy treat while helping take off that extra water.
Ingredients
½ cup organic lemonade
½ cup sparkling water
1 full squeeze of the dropper bulb (or 30 drops) turmeric tincture
Ice, optional
Mix the organic lemonade, sparkling water and turmeric tincture together in a glass. Add ice to make a cold drink or warm in the microwave to make a warm winter drink.
Why we love it.
Turmeric is so versatile and adds a little bit of warm spice to anything you eat it with. You can add powdered turmeric or the tincture to eggs, soups, milk, smoothies, you name it. This drink is tangy AND a little spicy so gives your tastebuds the variety they crave.
Oh So Calm Ashwagandha Pomegranate Orange Sparkler
Trying to set a calm mood for yourself or your guests? Look no further than this lively drink that is both loaded with antioxidants for your body but is also infused with the calming adaptogen, ashwagandha, to help you lower your stress levels.

½ to 1 inch freshly peeled ginger
1 ounce unsweetened pomegranate juice
3 ounces sparkling water
1 full squeeze of the dropper bulb (or 30 drops) ashwagandha tincture

Why we love it.
This drink is the perfect addition to your Dry January because it’s loaded with vitamin C, antioxidants and stress relief. Ashwagandha, or what is also known as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, is used to help your body adapt to stress and anxiety.
